  • "Thanks for Putting Out a Product That Lives Up to the Hype"

    After

Posted on June 6, 2013 by Jeff Ventura

We just got this email testimonial from Gary C. of Livonia, MI about our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL, and it's a one of the best we've ever received. Gary writes:

    Hi,

Just wanted to say thanks.  You see, I read a Facebook post back in November or so where someone mentioned the mileage improvement that could be obtained through the use of your Rislone fuel injector cleaner.  I didn't think much of it, in fact I kind of thought there is no way a little bottle of magic potion can make much of a difference, especially since my Jeep is relatively new.

A little background: I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.  It just turned 10,000 miles so still pretty much new.  Of course within a few weeks of purchasing it I had added about 300 pounds and a lot of roll resistance with larger tires, bumpers etc. I started tracking my mileage and it was dismal (all data points were during winter, December to early April):

    12.36 mpg, 11.76 mpg, 12.32 mpg, 12.87 mpg, 12.8 mpg

I pretty much do all city driving but this was ridiculous.  So I decided to try your product.  The results were good enough that I felt compelled to write this email.  First tank 13.38 mpg, I'm thinking not bad but is it worth it?  Then:

13.94 mpg, 13.85 mpg, 14.02 mpg 15.14 mpg (drove a little on the expressway)

Other than the last data point it was all city driving. So basically I'm converted, I don't think I'll ever stop using this stuff. Thanks for putting out a product that lives up to the hype.

Side note, now that we are back to summer gas I'm averaging in the mid 16s which puts me within the EPA estimates even after all my mods.  I attached some pics of the Jeep, first one is stock, second one modded but it's usually cleaner.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Gary attached pictures of his 2012 Jeep, before and after mods. Check out his rig:

Many thanks to Gary for not only sending us his thoughts and pictures, but also conducting an informal study of the effects of Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL. Cheers!

Holly, MI (May 28, 2013) — Rislone’s six new super-concentrated fuel additives treat a wide variety of vehicle problems. They are in stores now, accompanied by an online selection guide to help customers find the right products for their vehicles.

Rislone’s super-concentrated additives are packaged in 177 mL bottles featuring the patent-pending EZ NozzleTM/MC delivery system. • Happy Earth Day

Posted on April 22, 2013 by Jeff Ventura

Even though we develop and sell chemical solutions, Earth Day is a big deal to us around here. Why? We spend our days helping folks stop their car's s leaks so they can run run cleaner and longer. We've had folks thank us for helping them clean up their oil-spotted driveway. We've had folks tell us that before using our product, they were using a quart of oil a day -- because their car leaked so badly. The bottom line is that a leaking car is a toxic car, as far as the environment goes.

Stopping leaks is indeed a big deal for the car and owner, but we're more than aware that less leaking cars on the road, the better for the Earth and everyone who lives on it. Call it a secondary benefit to our products.

    Happy Earth Day, everyone.

  • Testimonial: Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL

Posted on January 9, 2013 by Jeff Ventura

We've just received a great customer email about our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL (p/n 4701), which we introduced to improve gas quality, reduce spark knock and serve as an overall fuel conditioner. George R. from New Castle, PA writes:

I used to use Rislone in my oil years ago and have not seen it for my fuel injectors. I had a "service engine soon" light come on around Christmas time, nice time for that to happen, so to the auto parts store I went. They checked it on the computer and said it was an 02 sensor.

Well I saw this bottle of Rislone complete fuel system cleaner and conditioner and reconizing the name, I purchased the bottle and drove to the gas station, put it in, filled my tank and after only 75 miles the light turned off and have not seen it since. I will continue to use Rislone in my vehicle. This stuff really works. I purchased it at Advance Auto in New Castle, PA.

Thanks George for choosing Rislone. It's true that Rislone made its name from its engine treatment product (the now-famous 100QR), but our line of new fuel products has won awards and customer praise alike. We're geeked that you found the product so helpful.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • PHOTOS: How Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL Improves Gas Mileage

Posted on December 10, 2012 by Jeff Ventura

Here’s a personal, unscientific illustration of how our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL can improve gas mileage. Note: this is not a guarantee that all cars/situations will see these results. This is just one casual test conducted at one point in time on one car.

Backstory: I used to have a Volkswagen GTI MkV. I used our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL back then and saw an approximate 8%–10% increase in MPG. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos or log any data to illustrate it.

I’m now driving another car, and decided to run the same test.

The first picture is what I get without using Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL. This was shot about 50 miles into a full tank of gas.

As you can see, I'm getting 21.6 MPG.

This next photo was taken with Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL installed in a full tank of gas. Like the first photo, I shot this 50 miles into the tank to allow the product to circulate. I took the photo on the same road with zero change in my driving habits. Temperature was in the mid–40s, same as the first pic.

With Rislone, I'm up to 23.9  MPG.

That’s a 2.3 MPG increase, or about 10%, as I noticed with my Volkswagen. To boot, the car run smoother with our product installed, and it helps combat the quality inconsistencies of ‘winter gas’.

We’ve had car clubs and customers write and call us to tell us how our fuel injector cleaner with UCL is the first one that’s actually worked for them, but we haven’t been able to put numbers to it. Pretty cool!

Fred V. from Edmonton, Alberta CA wrote us over the weekend. This is what he said:

We have a 2001 Chrysler 300m and the fuel pump gauge started to ping and drop to empty and then back up again. It did this for approx. the first 1/4 tank after filling. I found out that the fuel pump had a sensor that registers the amount of fuel in the tank and this cannot be replaced by itself....the whole pump has to be replace at a cost of around $600. (the gas tank has to be dropped).

I tried several fuel conditioners and they did not work. Then I ran into yours and noticed that the label did say that it cleans fuel pumps. So I thought I would try it and after 8000 kms from using the first bottle (as per the instructions on the bottle) and using the 2nd, the condition disappeared and it's been good since. So many thanks for creating something that actually works. But then, you folks have been at it for a long time. -- Fred

First of all, thanks for taking the time to write, Fred. We love hearing stories like this.

Second, the product Fred is talking about is our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL. It saved Fred $600, and it can help your car whether your facing an expensive repair or not. We've gotten calls from car clubs and racing enthusiasts about this product, so we're pretty thrilled it's being noticed for standing out above the others.

Thanks again for contacting us,  Fred.

  • "Your products work so well, especially compared to others."

Posted on June 25, 2012 by Jeff Ventura

For anyone thinking all fuel injector treatments are the same, perhaps Gary P. from Georgia can change your mind. He says:

"Not a question, but a comment about Rislone Products. I have used the Rislone oil additive for 35 years now. ( I first used it in a '74 Ford LTD.) I am always amazed at how it restores power to old engines, expecially when using today's synthetic oils which I suspect have a little detergent in them. [...] Recently I had a car that lost it's fuel pressure every time I shut it off. I knew it was a pressure leak at the fuel pump, the fuel pressure regulator or an injector stuck open. Techron, Chemtool, STP fuel treatments didn't help. After 30,000 miles I stumble upon Rislone gas treatment on the shelf and I couldn't wait to give it a try. It freed up the sticking injector after one tank and now the car starts better than ever before. And I was about to replace all the injectors. I don't understand why your products work so well, especially as compared to others. Thanks for making such a great line of products!"

Gary is referring to Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL, part number 4701. We custom-developed this formula for over a year with our #1 goal being a fuel product that actually works. From everything we're hearing from our customers, we hit our goal.

    Thanks for writing in, Gary!

  • The Industry's Most Profitable Cars and Trucks

Posted on December 7, 2011 by Jeff Ventura

Pretty interesting list. Naturally, the Ford F-150 stands on top of the heap as the most profitable vehicle in production, which goes hand-in-hand with its popularity. But do you know the others? The list might surprise you.
