No one mentioned your product to me until I did my own research. Wow! you mean to say I could have been rolling long time ago? Anyhow I bought the Permanent Head gasket for $30.00 dollars at Kmart and rushed home like a child with new toy. I was so amazed because the instructions were so simple. Not having to drain anything or tow my car to a shop. Anyhow you all saved me $2000 and not hearing from the mechanic say that other parts are broken. Thanks Bar's Leaks. Now I need to find a lubricate for my coolant sensor maybe, you will never know with all this advanced technology. ”

  • “I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with your Head Gasket Fix. I had coolant leaking out of my head gasket and poured a half bottle of it in my radiator and the leaked stopped withing a minute after the thermostat opened. I was a bit leary of using a stop leak for fear of clogging up my heater or radiator but so far I have no problem with that. A 30 dollar bottle of your Head Gasket Fix appears to have saved me over a grand in repair cost. ”

  • “I was in the middle of nowhere 300 hundred miles from home towing a car with my '94 6.5L turbo Diesel Chevy Blazer, I looked back and saw a huge white cloud, checked the water temp and it was at 260, coolant was dripping out the exhaust pipe. The belt had shredded, I hitchhiked to the nearest town bought a belt, coolant, and Bar's Block Seal & Head Gasket Fix, I knew it wouldn’t work especially on a diesel but I was not close to a garage or hotel, I followed the instructions and waited, IT WORKED! I continued on my trip and back home, I was really impressed, good stuff! It saved me a few thousand dollars! ”

  • “I have a 1994 Dodge Caravan. The heat did not work and smelled like anti-freeze vapor, the engine would sputter, smelled like burnt anti-freeze, and generated vapor out the exhaust. My mechanic advised the car needed a $1,500 head gasket repair! Well, that's not happening so what do I do? First, I tried a product called Steel Seal, and that didn't work at all. Then I discovered your Head Gasket Fix on the shelf at one of our local retailers. I actually didn't expect it to work, but thought it was worth a try. That was 1,000 miles ago and my Caravan is running just fine now. The Heat works and doesn't smell like anti-freeze. The engine doesn't smell like burnt anti-freeze, and there is no engine sputtering, all this at 1/3 of the cost of that inferior Steal Seal product. Thank you Bar's Leaks, your stuff really works! ”

  • “Bar's Leaks "Head Gasket Fix 1-Step" should be sold at church. It's a miracle. This past winter was hard on my 1998 Audi 2,8 V6. At about 215K the alternator went and the coolant pump/timing belt followed soon after. Probably caused by putting-off the coolant pump repair work due to money resources, the head gasket blew a short time later. With the head gasket leaking, but the coolant pump fixed, I was using about a gallon of coolant every 100 miles. My mechanic suggested trying a liquid gasket fix instead of a costly head gasket repair. I tried Bar's Leaks "Head Gasket Fix 1-Step" and it sealed everything up for about 2500 miles with no coolant added! At first I was easy on the engine and then, at the 2500 mile mark, I was moderately hard on the engine performance - particularly acceleration. Then the seal let go a little but still works! I am averaging about a gallon of coolant added every 2500 miles. The Audi has 227K miles now. The 800 phone number is in bold print on the container so I figured Bar's Leak was inviting a call. Tech support on two occasions was excellent. With freezing weather a few weeks away I plan to add another treatment and go easy on engine performance. Once again, Bar's Leaks has kept my car on the road for sure. ”

  • “Thank you for saving my automotive life. Last week I had both of my vehicles in need of your products. My 1991 Toyota Previa van lost its head gasket, antifreeze in the oil and smoking like crazy. I used Bar's Head Gasket seal and 20 minutes later I noticed a huge difference. It has been a week and my oil looks like oil and my antifreeze level is perfect and she runs like a champ. My second car is a 2000 Chrysler van which sprung a bad radiator leak. I used Bar's Radiator Stop Leak and it has no more leak. Thank you Bar’s! You saved me from many thousands in repairs or a new car payment. ”

  • “I used your Head Gasket Fix (works with all anti-freezes) and it saved my car. I was looking at a $1500 repair for a car that just wasn’t worth it. But for $20 your product saved my old car. Maybe I can get another 5yrs outta it now!!? Thanks! ”

  • “I used Bar's Leak Head Gasket Fix not expecting anything. My mechanic told me that I had an internal and external head gasket leak on my 1994 Toyota 4 Runner and advised me to junk the vehicle. Within 5 minutes of adding your product, the steam out of my tailpipe stopped and the engine compression returned. I am just amazed and so is my mechanic. ”

  • “I experienced a major intake gasket failure on my Chevy 350 causing the entire contents of the cooling system to empty into the oil pan during a short 5 mile drive to work. The failure was so extensive that the slurry found its way into the cylinders and air cleaner housing as well. Not looking forward to spending a Saturday tearing down the top half of my motor, I instead decided to try a liquid "Hail Mary" approach. Having had good past experiences with other Bar's products, I visited your website to become familiar with your entire product line and choose #1111 for this situation. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for success due to the seemingly extreme condition I was using the product for. I am very happy to report that a single treatment with the product has sealed the failed areas. The operating temperature is normal, after 3 oil changes the oil is staying clean, and I have not lost any coolant. My advice to anybody considering using product #1111 is don't let the $30 price scare you into using a lesser option. Although every situation is unique, this product worked for this situation better than I expected.”

  • “I bought a $32 bottle of your Head Gasket Fix to get rid of a SES light on my 1997 Cadillac Deville with a 4.6L Northstar engine with 111,000+ miles on it. To make a long story short, it worked. The engine was stuttering or missing 15 seconds on a cold start up or 15 seconds after a warmed up stoppage of the engine and restart. I suspected that antifreeze/coolant was getting into the #1 cylinder due to a defect in the cylinder head gasket. The cylinder head gasket is very difficult to replace on this engine as the transmission has to be removed first. Thanks for such an easy and effective product. ”

  • “My 2001 Land Rover smelled like antifreeze and a dealer I took it to said either head gasket replacement around 3000.00 or he could try Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket Fix. He did and that was 4 months ago. I am very satisfied and I am trying to locate a store now that is near me that sells the oil stop leak. Thanks a lot! ”

  • “My daughter's 1998 Dodge Intrepid with 129,000 miles on it was having a problem overheating. We took it to a mechanic and was told the radiator needed replacement, as well as the water pump, hoses, but the head gaskets seemed ok. We had the repairs done, to the tune of $1600.00 and two months later the car was overheating again. After two trips to two seperate mechanics we were told the head gasket needed replacing. Well, this car is definetly not worth the price of repair, so after some long research, decided to try your Head Gasket Fix. I had to put the product in the upper radiator hose as this car has no radiator cap, and only about 3/4 of the bottle would go in. I followed the directions and the car's performance improved as well as the overheating problem seems to be solved. It has been only a few days, but everything seems fine so far. I'll comment later after a longer term. Great product! ”

  • “I would normally not contact a company to comment about a product, but much to my surprise, I am pleased to say that I have had a successful outcome after using the Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix. I have a 2002 BMW 530i with 127K miles, which I have just completed a head overhaul, and head gasket replacement after suffering a bad top end leak between the cooling system and combustion chambers. Despite performing a proper and complete repair, immediately after completing the repair, my car was still blowing steam, although not huge amounts, but my cooling system was also pressurizing to the point of multiple connection points developing small coolant leaks as well. Despite all the time and money spent on the repair in the first place, it became apparent to me that perhaps I have a block or head crack that was not previously detected. Perhaps the machine shop never actually pressure tested the head, despite telling me they did. Regardless, I still had a problem. Despite being tremendously skeptical, I did some research and decided to try the Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix, despite the steep price compared to other products. However, as this product contains sodium silicate, which is also known as "Liquid Glass", I do know from a scientific standpoint that this is probably the only chemical that would have a chance of fixing a combustion leak, and as this product could be added to the antifreeze without the necessity to flush and run with only water, it was quite convenient and simple to use. It has now been about 4 days, and about 250 miles or so. As of this morning, I have no steam that I can detect, even when cold. I do not have ANY coolant loss, and the cooling system over-pressurizing seems to be gone, although I have not yet performed an actual pressure test. I am absolutely astonished as this product has exceeded my expectations. I also still have FULL heat, so apparently my heater core is also working fine, and as I've been monitoring the car's temperature with an external scanner for the past few days, the car's temperature has also been functioning in the correct range as well. Bravo to Bar's Leaks. This product saved me from having to replace my car. ”

  • “I have a 1996 Lumina w/ water in the oil and was about to junk it. I was told to use your Head Gasket Fix. Tried it and my about-to-be-junked car is running fine w/ no water in the oil or overheating. I give your product an A+. ”

  • “Bar's Head Gasket Fix is something I always wished for - Sodium Silicate compatible with anti-freeze. I didn't know it existed until yesterday. For the last 7 or 8 years I've been using K&W stop leak during the summer and Bar's Radiator stop leak during the winter for a cracked head and/or a head gasket. That worked well up until a few days ago. Then the other day I found myself in a big cloud bank going to work in the morning. I got a leaky muffler that allowed the steam to rise into the engine compartment. It must have been impressive to the cop that followed me all the way to work, too! I added another can of Bar's Radiator stop leak to buy a little more time. It stopped about 80% of it - until the next morning. That's when I knew I had to try something else. After all, it is still at least another 6 weeks before I could use K&W safely again because it only works in water only. When I was fortunate to discover Bar's Head Gasket Fix, I flushed the cooling system thoroughly with hot water and followed the easy instructions. I must say that the coolant leak was fixed in just a few seconds! Maybe it worked so well because of the fact that I was flushing the cooling system twice a year and it was abnormally clean to begin with. Also, something I've learned. If you have got a combustion leak into the cooling system, it really helps to drill an 18 hole into the thermostat housing so as to allow the air to escape the head so the stop leak products can do their job. Otherwise the combustion air is backing the coolant and stop leak out of the heads down through the lower radiator hose. Not good. ”

  • “I installed Bar's Leaks product #1111, Head Gasket Fix in my Chevrolet Drama diesel engine because I had coolant leaking into the cylinders. It appears to have stopped the leak. I topped off the cooling system with anti-freeze, but I am wondering if I need to put more Head Gasket Fix in the system when it comes time to replace the coolant. Thanks! ”

  • “I have 1998 Cadillac Deville with the “Northstar” engine. The car has always been serviced on a scheduled basis, and has never been over 80 MPH; the car is in pristine condition. It costs $40K in 1998. In April of 2008, the car had 76K miles on it, I noticed white smoke coming from both exhaust pipes, and the “check coolant light” began to come on after 300 miles. I was adding 6 cups of antifreeze every 300 miles for several months, while the check coolant light continued to flash. I asked Cadillac about the problem; they said I needed to have the head gasket replaced, as this was a very, very common problem with the “Northstar” engine. I asked several quality automotive repair facilities for a 2nd opinion, and they too said you would need to replace the head gasket. In fact some shops won’t even work on replacing the Northstar head gasket, as replacing the head gasket could further damage the head bolt(s). The cost to replace the head gasket was $2,000+, since my car was outside of the manufacturer’s warranty. Being skeptical, I did some research, spoke with the folks at Bar’s Products, I followed the simple directions: removed 28 oz’s of antifreeze, added their Head Gasket Fix (#1111), started the engine, turned on the heater/fan on high, and let it idle for 15 minutes. Within 15 minutes, the white smoke (antifreeze) completely stopped from my exhaust pipes. No longer does my check coolant light come on. As of today January 29, 2010, I have 79K miles on the car. I wish to express my gratitude to the staff at Bar’s Products for their concern, technical expertise and professional service. ”

  • “I recently sent my wife to LaCava Brothers to pick up a throttle body gasket for a PT Cruiser that I was repairing. While she was there she asked Dennis one of the countermen (don't know his last name, but he is an impeccable gentleman) if he also had a head gasket set for her 1999 Cadillac DeVille Northstar Motor, as she was going to buy some more antifreeze. He seriously asked if she wanted the actual head gasket set or head gasket sealer in a bottle! He highly recommended the Bar's Leaks Block Seal Permanent Head Gasket Fix. To make a long story short my wife is now the Head Mechanic in the family!!!! This car has been a big pain in my rear with the antifreeze leakage issue (I believe the exhaust is leaking into the water jacket & building up pressure causing it to dump antifreeze), other than that the car runs great, she loves the car, but I could not find the ambition to replace the head gaskets, (keeping the race car, street rod & antique running is always more important) been putting it off till I found her another car. I have tried virtually every other sealer on the market with minimal to no results, but YOUR PRODUCT WORKED!!!!! It has been two weeks with absolutely no problem!!!! I'll keep you posted as far as the actual duration. But even for now I'm happy she is happy and life is good!!! Bar's, thanks for providing a product that works!!!! LaCava, please thank Dennis for assisting my wife and making her the hero!!! She is ready to change our address to Claire's Auto Repair, versus Rene's! ”

  • “I would just like to thank you for making a great product. I own a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager that has been over heating for the last month or so and finally today was the breaking point when the temperature gauge would not return to normal. Just like many other people in this situation we do not have the money to replace a blown head gasket. After doing some searching and researching I came across your product by way of Advance Auto Parts. Needless to say I was a little skeptical about your product however, that has now changed. I followed the instructions on the bottle of 1step and also replaced the thermostat. I allowed the van to idle for 15 mins or more and I did not see a change. So I decided to take it for a drive and instantly I could tell the difference; then finally after fighting with the heat for weeks now it finally worked. I am going to drive it once again tomorrow to make sure everything is fine before I let my wife drive it but, I am very thankful once again. ”

  • “I wrote you couple of months ago about my engine having coolant leaks thru the manifold or the head gasket and I asked you for advice on your product that stops head gasket leaks. Well let me tell you that since that date that I did the oil change and follow the instructions on how to use it. I am no longer having had any problems with the oil been contaminated. I have lost a little bit of water on the water container but after having done two more oil changes, the oil had come out clean, I thank you very much, you have saved me some money. ”

  • “Thank you for taking the time to talk to me about the head gasket leak in my '98 Olds Silhouette and for sending the email on how to eliminate any air bubbles in my cooling system. I installed the Head Gasket Fix into the radiator per instructions into the fresh Dex Cool antifreeze. The van no longer puffs steam out of the tail pipe, the “low coolant” light does not come on any more and there is no longer a mis-fire on cylinder #1 which had a ruined fuel injector and plugs. Thanks to your new product, my van now runs great and you saved an otherwise fine van -- and saved me a huge repair bill for new head gaskets. Thanks for this great product! ”

  • “Bar’s Leaks – I have a 1992 Ford Escort which has almost 200,000 miles on it. In September 2009, antifreeze started leaking down the front side of the engine and was pooling on the driveway. I didn’t want stray cats and other animals drinking it so I took the car to a reputable garage. They checked it out and said the head gasket was cracked and the repair work was very expensive, about $700. I tried ½ can of the Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket Fix and within 10 days, noticed the problem was solved and NO side effects to car. I am very satisfied! ”

  • “After 170,000 miles, my 1997 Cadillac with a four point Northstar engine started to overheat. My local dealership confirmed my fears that it had a blown head gasket and could be repaired for $4000, hard to justify for a $3000 car. After trying about all the additives I was ready to give up, then I found Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket Fix. I thought the price was pretty high but I didn’t have much to lose. My biggest problem was that the cooling system was building pressure and was expelling the coolant out of the system, since this system does not have a recovery tank but has an expansion tank. To keep the coolant and additive in the system, I removed the overflow hose and replace it with about four feet of 3/8 hose and put a gallon jug in the only place that would hold it in front of the radiator and wired it in. When the system pressurized and pushed out about a gallon of coolant, I let it cool and poured it back into the system. It took almost a month but it finally sealed and my problems are solved. Thanks to Bar’s Leaks and I hope this helps others with the same problem. ”

  • “Just wanted to put in my testimonial after reading countless others on your newer Head Gasket Fix (the one you can pour right into the cooling system). I own a 1989 VW Jetta GL with a 1.8L 8v I4, and after having to put AT LEAST a third of a bottle of coolant in EVERY day, it was diagnosed as having either a head gasket leak or a head gasket that was completely bad. 20 ppm of hydrocarbons in the vapor from your coolant tank and you have a bad head gasket, mine read 191! After putting your product in, I haven't had to top off my coolant one single time! When I swap this motor out for a 2.0L 16v with a bad rear main seal that I've recently purchased, the first thing I do will be to put in a bottle of your Main Seal Fix! ”

  • “After a recent weekend drive home from Savannah, GA, I noticed my truck running a little hot, by the time I could exit it had overheated but I was able to get water and make it home. I flushed the system and added antifreeze only to see a huge amount of white smoke coming from my exhaust. I was skeptical about using a gasket block product, but decided to purchase Bar's Leaks Gasket Fix. I was attracted to this one in particular because of it's compatibility with antifreeze, and the fact that it can stay in my cooling system for continued protection. My truck is running great, and although I will still make a gasket repair, it is nice to know that it can happen on my time table. Thanks for a great product made in the USA. ”

  • “Dear Sirs, I just want to thank you for making such a great product like Bar's Head Gasket Fix # 1111. It helped me fixed my blown head gasket on my 1991 Honda Accord. My car is no more using a lot of water, the engine is no more skipping and the old car is running great now Thanks to Bar's Leaks # 1111. Thank so much for making a great American product. May God bless you for saving me a lot of money. ”

  • “I was having an antifreeze leak on my 1997 Honda Civic with 158K miles on it, and it was determined that the problem was the head gasket. My repair shop said that if they replaced the head gasket, the engine would burn oil, so they wanted to replace the engine for $3000. I put Bar’s Head Gasket Fix in the radiator, and the car has not leaked any antifreeze in more than 5,000 miles. I'm very pleased, to say the least! ”

    K. L. - Stone Mountain, GA
  • “Please be advised that as I stated if your product (Bar's Head Gasket Fix PN 1111) worked to stop the compression leak and high cooling system pressurization and subsequent coolant loss I was experiencing with my 2003 Ford F-150 that I would be a #1 customer for your products if needed. Well, after approximately 500 miles of reasonable driving I have not had to add any coolant to my F-150's cooling system. I serviced my vehicle as directed per your company's head gasket fix instructions and 'till now have a well performing F-150 engine. Anyone who has a question I'll be happy to relate my experience with this product personally. ”

  • “My vehicle is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with the 3.8L engine. At 230,100 miles, I developed an external upper intake manifold gasket leak. Within 3 weeks of the gasket problem, I was adding 1/2 gallon of antifreeze daily to keep the engine temperature below 210F. I researched my options, and took note that the average repair cost for this type of problem was $400, and I decided to try Bar's Leaks Gasket Fix before investing big money on a 10 year old, high mileage vehicle. I have to admit I was skeptical that I could fix a leak of this magnitude without replacing the manifold gasket, but I wanted to try a less expensive option. I purchased Bar's Leaks Gasket Fix and followed the directions on the label. The night before I added the product to my radiator, I lost at least 1/2 gallon of antifreeze, but after using the product and driving 92 miles round trip to work, I lost NO antifreeze, and the engine temperature remained steady between 185 and 205. One week, and 400 miles later, I have no external leak on the manifold, and my gas mileage has increased, most likely by plugging any vacuum leaks that were present prior to using the product. This stuff works, and even if I have to buy another can within the next 12 months, I am still $340 ahead of the lowest estimated cost of replacing the manifold gaskets. ”

    T. G. - Bethany, WV
  • “Wanted to update you. I am at 2200 miles and going strong. No sign of a leak. I am very pleased to say the least. Is the head gasket more likely to leak once the cold weather hits? If it should leak again, can I put another bottle in? I have recommeded your product to at least 6 or 7 people who have claimed they are going to try it. ”

    R. A. - Lima, OH
  • “I am writing to tell you of my good experience with Bar’s Leaks Head Gasket Fix. I am pretty skeptical when it comes to additives but I have an 1988 Isuzu Trooper II and over a year ago the head gasket started leaking water into cylinder #3, drip, sizzle, drip, sizzle, and blew out water when the spark plug was removed. I was quoted a figure of $800 to fix it. It has 157,000 miles on it so I went to the auto parts store and looked at all the fix it products and chose yours based on the fact that it is a one step process. Well I was ready to sell this SUV to a junkyard until I put this stuff in it and it worked! To my amazement it is still running fine, I have done some serious 4 wheeling in these Virginia Mountains with no leaking or overheating. I am not in the habit of endorsing products but this stuff really works! I recently bought an ’88 Chevy Celebrity with 57,000 miles for $500.00 because of a small head gasket leak. I again used your product and have put over 5,000 more miles on the car with no problems. I am a very satisfied customer and highly recommend this product. Both of these vehicles would have been junked but they are still running fine, thank you for keeping me on the road! ”

  • “I tried your Head Gasket Fix product in my 99 Cadillac (Northstar) 3 days ago. So far it is working like a charm. This product may have saved me $2000. Thanks! ”

  • “Thank you for your Bar's Leaks, Head Gasket Fix product. I purchased the product for my 1999 Cadillac STS. The Northstar engine was sadly missing at idle and also at slow speed. I had a couple of shops look at it and they wanted $200 to check with the meters but thought it was a head gasket leak. I checked replacement engine prices. A new engine from Cadillac was $12,000. A re-manufactured engine was around $4,000 and I found one small shop that would replace the head gasket for $3,000. I was really upset because I really like the car with only 70,000 miles on it. I purchased Head Gasket Fix based on your website claims. I was familiar with Bar's Leak because me dad used it when I was a kid. My mechanical engineering degree and hands on experience with engines helped to understand the problem and the Bar's Leak product. I poured it in the radiator and followed the directions. The engine still missed when I took the car out the next day. I called Fred at Bar's and he told me it could take a few weeks of average driving. He also told me to leave it in the radiator after the leak is fixed. I noticed that at about 3-4 weeks, the missing went missing. Today, I reset the "check engine" light. The light did not come back on and the car is running perfect with all the power it is supposed to have. Thanks again. ”

  • “I did buy the Bar's PN 1111 Head Gasket Fix. It's been 4 days and so far it's working! No hesitation at start up. For now, the minor leakage of coolant seems to be stopped. In your experience and research, particularly on Northstar engines, how long will this fix last? ”

  • “I got over $2000 estimate when I asked a local car service for checking the problem with my car that turned out to be leaking in the head gasket. I was about to donate my car or either sell it at any price. But, found this product (Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix) and gave it a try. It really works!!! Now, several weeks has passed with no problem when I drive my car around. ”

  • “My 2004 Sentra wasn't worth the $2500-3000 to fix the blown head gasket, so a mechanic recommended I give your product a try. I followed the directions meticulously and it worked perfectly, saving me thousands of dollars. The warning light has been on for weeks and is now off. Thanks for a quality product. ”

  • “Head Gasket Fix - Daughter's car was diagnosed as having a bad head gasket with estimated repair $2999 or new engine for $3999. Her Kia Rio 2001 has 105,000 miles and the car market value isn't worth the repair. Smoke wasn't much yet the engine wasn't running smooth either. One bottle of “Head Gasket Fix” did the job. Too early to tell how long it will last, yet the results are amazing. Thank you guys for such fine product. ”

  • “My 2000 Chevy Cavalier has 224,875 miles on the odometer and has had a slow leak of antifreeze since we purchased it in 2005, but last year it began to pick up speed. In August we did and complete radiator flush in conjunction with a product that was guaranteed to stop the leak, but by October I was adding antifreeze at least every other week. By the end of the year it was almost every day! In the first week of January, I purchased the Bar's Leak Head Gasket Fix; the mileage at the time was about 220,000 miles. After about 5,000 miles and 3 months, the antifreeze level has stayed constant-no leaks! Couldn't be happier with the product and hope to put at least another 50,000 miles on this car! ”

  • “I want take the opportunity to say thanks Bar’s Products for fixing my head gasket 3.4 V-6. Everybody knows the problem with the gasket in those vehicles etc...My experience had milky oil, no heat, and the car ran hot in less than 15 minutes so before taking the car to the shop I saw this product in the auto parts store and said why not try? So I did… honestly in about 20 minutes after I put this product in my cooling system my problem was solved. Everything is normal so I recommend this product to everyone! You have to follow the instructions to see results. ”

  • “My 2001 Volvo was running hot and spewing coolant out the tailpipe. I took it to my mechanic and as I had expected he told me I had a bad head gasket. I used your Bars leak head gasket fix and now the car is running perfectly! I was amazed how easy it was to use and how well it worked. Thanks for making such a great product. ”

  • “Dear Bar's Leaks, I do not normally take the time to write to manufacturers. I am also usually skeptical about product claims. I have on numerous occasions needed to do auto repairs and in some cases had to repair an engine head gasket leak on block crack. This was usually a timely and tedious process and did not always have a positive result. Last week I purchased one of your products (Head Gasket Fix) I must admit I was a little skeptical, this product is unbelievable it worked exactly how your advertisement promised. I am now not only a true believer, but a living breathing witness. Thanks for a great product and truth in advertising. ”

  • “Thank you so very much for the excellent product “Bar's Head Gasket Fix”. We have a 1994 Ford Mustang with 126,000 miles on it. This winter (Minnesota) we started having problems with low heater output then we noticed that we were losing antifreeze and had erratic engine temperature gauge readings. I did some basic testing and found the oil was clean, no coolant in the oil, so then I checked the radiator to see if we had bubbles in the coolant but nothing to really draw any conclusions from. We took the car to an independent mechanic and he did some tests to see if any combustion gases were in the coolant, and he reported that tests were negative and concluded to say that even so, a small leak in the head gasket or head may still exist because of the heater problem and the loss of coolant. The heater problems persisted so we took the car to another established mechanic and he concluded by tests that there was pressure in the coolant system and exhaust gases existed in the coolant. The pressure and gas would go to the heater core and prevent coolant from flowing through the heating system. From my own experience from a past head gasket replacement on my 2.5 Dodge, a person usually ends up with replacing the head or heads even though the gasket is suspected. In the Mustang case, the basic estimate for head gasket(s) replacement was from $1200 to $1600, but I know you might as well figure in the cost of two rebuilt heads and by the time it’s all over you can figure at least $2400. The Mustangs value is approximately at best $2000 even though it was never driven in the winter and the body is in excellent condition. The standard repair and associated cost would have created a severe hardship on us so I purchased a bottle of “Bars 1100 Head Gasket Fix”. We looked around for used cars before I used the product but either way, I decided I had a “dead horse” on my hands and needed to move forward and do SOMETHING. I read all the reviews and checked out your company, did extensive research on the web to find anything negative about your product, and I could not find one negative comment. I followed the product instructions for installation, and then went for an hour drive, the heater put out heat like a blast furnace, and the temperature gauge was stable. There is no more coolant loss. The problem of engine overheating and no heater output are solved. The Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix is truly the “Viagra” for the automotive cooling system. I am totally impressed. You have come up with a product that works 100%. A product that someday soon may become the first line of defense for head gasket and other cooling system repairs. When confronted with very expensive repairs a person needs to look at alternatives. Often cooling system leaks are very small in size but can totally disable the operation of the car. A person must be practical about repair options. I went with Bars Head Gasket Fix because of the Bars Company reputation, I have seen similar products but I trust Bars when it comes to adverting, truth of your claims, and value. I do sincerely want to thank you, your research personal, and your manufacturing plant/personal, for such a useful product. I cannot thank you enough. ”

  • “I have a 1994 Range Rover County with 149,000 on the clock. My symptoms included no heat, steam from exhaust when cold and warmed up, coolant levels low every day with oil consumption pretty high. I have used the radiator products in the past and was astonished at how effective they were. I purchased the head gasket fix-installed per instructions in the radiator hose and drove car for a hour minimum--amazing-- my heater works now and the smoke is gone--truly a amazing product--and best of all - you to not need to drain existing fluids----worth more than the $29.95 selling price. Awesome R and D department! ”

  • “I just purchased a can of your Head Gasket Fix - One step. This is not hype, but my actual experience, that I hope will help someone else, since the testimonials were instrumental in my making a decision to use the product. The estimate for a head gasket installation on our Pontiac Montana Van was $1,700. I put a can of this product in my radiator today, and not only is it no longer overheating, the heater is working so well, I have to turn it down. The oil level was way over the fill mark. I had the oil changed today, and the oil level has remained at the normal mark. This is absolutely a wonderful product that lives up to the "too good to be true" claim. I'm a pilot with a major airline, and I can tell you that this is the most remarkable additive I've ever come across! Thanks for saving me a ton of money!!! ”

  • “I can't believe how well your head gasket fix has worked! I have an Olds 3.1L engine with a head gasket that is bad, I added your product and with in 10 min and 5 miles it sealed the leak. Thanks for a great product! ”

  • “I was skeptical about using your new Head Gasket Fix product for sealing head gaskets. I have a 1999 Cadillac Concourse with the Northstar Engine. The engine was blowing steam out of the exhaust, was difficult to start and using oil excessively. I followed the directions on the container exactly and the results were almost immediate. So far it is working great. The car runs like new. Thanks very much! ”

  • “Hats off to Bar's Leaks!!!! I drive a 1998 Ford Expedition w/4.6 v8 w/118,000 miles just recently purchased. With a rough idle I decided to do a tune up starting with the spark plugs, with the overhead cam the plugs were about five inches down inside the motor and the second plug had one inch of antifreeze over it... 'Great' I thought 'a blown head gasket'. I was so upset as I finished the tune up and the truck was running worse. The next morning I went to the auto parts store and found Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix for 30 dollars and thought, well this has got to work for that kind of money, sure as shoot!! It worked; my truck runs better than ever now. TO THE BAR'S LEAKS MAD SCIENTIST YOU’RE THE BEST. THANKS!!!!!! ”

  • “I'm highly impressed by your Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix product. We have a minivan with 140k mileage and it had been diagnosed with a blown head gasket. We are facing tough times financially with a job loss and cancer running through our family. We weren't able to pay $4 thousand dollars for the repair but I did some research and found your product, and, I just want to say, it has prolonged the life of our vehicle. We only do short trips to the grocery store etc. The product has enabled us to still have two working vehicles and it has stretched our gas mileage. It’s been a godsend as we battle through tough times. ”

  • “Head Gasket Fix works! My 1998 BMW 528i had water in the oil and I even needed a second battery to start it. I had nothing to lose. The oil cap even had the tell-tale yellow gunk. It was virtually dead. With over 150k on the car my mechanic told me not to bother trying to fix it. I parked the car until I could get Bar's Head Gasket Fix. After adding it to the radiator I drove it a few miles and changed the oil. Day after day the car ran better and better. After a few days I no longer needed to add water to the radiator and didn't need the extra battery to start it. It's been almost a month now and the car is almost as good as new again! It runs great, no steam, no smoke, no need to add water. I can't believe what it's done for my car. It was dead and now it's tip-top! Amazing, truly amazing. Thank you Bar's for giving me my car back. ”

  • “I have a 1987 VW Vanagon with 187,000 miles on it. At the very least, I had the typical head gasket leak common to these cars. I tried your product today. For weeks my coolant light had been coming on and I have been finding puddles of coolant under the car on my driveway. Mechanics have told me that the car needed head gasket and/or head replacement. Well, I tried your product and the coolant light stopped flashing and the leak stopped---at least for now, and, hopefully, permanently. I had three choices to make. Do nothing and pay nothing--spend at least $2500 for a head gasket replacement and head machining, etc---or try your product for $30.00. I chose the latter and am VERY pleased with the results!! Wow! Thanks again. ”

  • “My hat is off to your research scientists and engineers. You have been very helpful to me. Head Gasket Fix is a miracle drug! My 1995 3.8L V6 Ford Windstar GL with 135,000 miles started to mysteriously loose coolant from the radiator and overflow reservoir. Additional recent symptoms and past experience led me to believe a failed head gasket or cracked head was imminent. These symptoms included constantly refilling the radiator with no visible leaks, rough idle, coolant entering crankcase and mixing with oil, white smoke emanating from a seam in the engine below the crankcase and from the oil filler cap, and sweet smelling white smoke from the exhaust pipe. In the past, I paid for a head gasket repair and did not want to do it again on this older vehicle. I was prepared to junk the car or donate it to charity when I discovered Head Gasket Fix. After reading more about it, I obtained the product and used it exactly following instructions. Prior to pouring Head Gasket Fix into radiator, I drained enough coolant from the car to make room for the 20 oz. bottle. The radiator was then topped off, and the overflow was filled to the Full Cold line. I also drained the contaminated oil and refilled the crankcase before idling the car to operating temperature. Here's where the miracle happened. During idling at first, white smoke was billowing out of the exhaust and engine; so much so that I almost turned off the key. As minutes passed, the smoke magically diminished from all areas, and then it eventually disappeared. The rough idle smoothed out and all symptoms were gone. I took a 10-minute drive and returned home to let the car cool off. The oil was changed again after a five-minute engine flush, and a new filter was added. During the last week, the coolant level has been checked cold every morning. It took a few days to get all the air bubbles out and maintain a constant level. The Windstar has been driven approximately 225 miles at operating temperature since using Head Gasket Fix. The idle is very smooth and none of the symptoms have re-appeared. One unexpected benefit has been the improved operation of the heater. Thank you very much. I would recommend Head Gasket Fix to anyone with a similar problem. My eyes have been opened to your whole product line. ”

  • “BMW 735i 3.5 Liter if I could meet the person that invented Head Gasket Fix (the new stuff you add to antifreeze), I would give them a big kiss! Lots of money spent on my car’s cooling system. Come to find out gases were getting into the system and blowing hoses, it was driving me crazy! Replaced all the hoses and then blew the head gasket. I put Head Gasket Fix in and now ALL my problems are GONE. Car runs awesome with no pressure in hoses and all the smoke problems are gone. Really! Problems are gone! THANKS, THANKS! PART NUMBER 1111 IS THE BEST THING INVENTED SINCE ELECTRICITY SO THANKS AGAIN, YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! AWSOME! ”

  • “Thanks ever so much for allowing me to participate in real world testing of Bars Head Gasket Fix. I was extremely frustrated after completing a difficult custom tuning on a high performance 383 MPFI Chevy "stroker" project. During the tuning process the motor overheated causing what I believed to be a head gasket failure due to head warp. I invested in excess of $10,000 on this project and felt I had "nothing to loose." I was already prepared for a complete top end R&R when I was searching the Internet and found numerous products claiming to "fix" head gasket leaks. I almost considered using another product when inquiring further about possible risks of damage to my engine the tech was very rude and just said I was going to have to decide for myself If I wanted to use their product or not! I felt my questions were legitimate and her frustration with my detailed inquiry was unwarranted. You however, were very willing to answer my concerns and supply me with the information I needed to confidently use your "Head Gasket Fix" product. As instructed, I flushed the cooling system (several times) and a couple more using 3oz.TSP circulated for 15min at operating temperature until all trace of TSP and cooling system additives were removed. I drained enough water to allow for the addition of the "Head Gasket Fix" and started the motor. I allowed the motor to idle for 17min after reaching operating temperature and then turned off. I waited a couple of days and started the motor. I am very happy to report that the compression leak down check verified that all cylinders were within normal range and the exhaust gas in coolant test was now negative. I was so shocked that I took my truck out for some WOT runs and the engine performed flawlessly! I was a skeptic before using the Bar's Block Seal Permanent Head Gasket Fix, but now, I have a renewed trust in the research and care Bar's invests into their products. No more fear of plugging water jackets or reaction with antifreeze and reducing thermal transfer after using this product! I would tell anyone considering using this product to ask the other company reps if they have a product that is compatible with coolant and has no risk of blocking coolant passages and will not effect thermal transfer, before using anything in there motor. I already know the other products cannot make these claims and are offering a "last ditch effort" to an otherwise junk motor! Those other products may have there place, but not in my motor! I have way too much invested to risk scraping this baby! Thank you again for saving me a ton of work and $!”
